| "A kiss may not be the truth, but that is what we wish were true." I gave this movie a 10-10 after seeing it for the umpteenth time. I have lived in Los Angeles and loved and lost in Louisiana. I had pulled in LA, but have not yet made a tail O 'The Pup or pink. And if you ever find the shop on Melrose when Harris and Sarah become young children and the stone lions bow their heads, I would never come and go. * Sigh * I am a fan of Steve Martin in any event, and an LA fan, too. The strange and wonderful, and love conquers all, also resonate deeply within me. I'm sorry things did not work out the IRL for Steve and Victoria, because of how much this movie is my turn. I know it's 14 years of age and were portrayed characters, but every time I see it, how they communicate their burgeoning relationship, and then run away from him, only for the weather to save them in the past, I am awed . Is becoming a period piece, but that does not tarnish in my eyes. Where would you like to delight in daffiness and devotion of 95 minutes, then do yourself a favor and see the story:) |
| If you're familiar with Steve Martin in the language that is this movie as one of his best. As a non-American person who is more or less familiar with American culture, I think Steve Martin is one of the best and this film is one of his best. The jokes and the melodramatic tone of the film are well ahead and laugh, mourn, to feel the warm breeze while watching this movie. The reality and fiction are mixed in a credible way and really like it when the miracle happens. It's also really humorous about people and culture LA LA. Would you like to be true, as a kiss! |
| Nobody else has been reminded of Woody Allen in Manhattan? - A tribute to a city, framed in a very personal way, reflecting the personality of the main man. Angst-ridden lead with masculine all-knowing female leads, the dependence of music, male confusion - even art galleries! Comparing the 2, I found myself 'LA'a slow producer, while I was overwhelmed by "Manhattan'immediately. If you can compare the 2, I think I prefer LA. I can imagine that Steve Martin fans might be disappointed by the lack of slapstick and Woody Allen fans are totally dismissive. The failure of 'THE' must have been a major body blow for Steve, since shortly after his marriage to Victoria Tennant failed. |
